remove from favorites Western pony for loan
Jack (Rockyview Blackjack) is an eye-catching black gelding, about 13.2, five years old, Section C x riding pony.

Bought as a yearling, he has been started using natural horsemanship/western methods and is now going nicely under saddle. He is still green due to lack of time, but takes everything in his stride, and is ready to give someone a great deal of pleasure. He has been to a few shows, including Cardigan County as a two year old. In 2009 he was second in a big showmanship class at Tregaron, and then went to the Hartpury WES show, where he coped well with being away from home and was not at all concerned about being ridden in the warm up arena. He has been introduced to trail obstacles and is very careful over poles. Jack loves his hacks out and is good in the limited traffic (including farm vehicles) that we meet here.

He is a lovely looking pony, with floating paces and a calm temperament who will be a rewarding partner for a child or small adult.

We would prefer him to carry on with western if at all possible, he will be a trail star, and has the moves to be a great little reiner. He must have a knowledgeable home with company, and we would prefer him to stay in WES Area 6 (or 3) so he’s reasonably close to us.
